With barely five weeks left of the year, I can see things slowly starting to slow down and wrap up. I had a very relaxing weekend with good food and good people, time on the couch, time with the animals, time for a sleep in (of sorts). My last workshop for the year is just around the corner and my thoughts turn to Summer holidays and exciting projects for 2020. So let’s get stuck into Melanie’s questions this week for SYW;
What did you have for dinner last night? Oh, last night’s dinner was so good, grilled lamb backstrap marinated in olive oil and herbs, with a fresh garden salad and croutons with garlic yoghurt dressing. Kind of like a Gyros (Souvlaki) without the flatbread.
Would you rather go out on a Saturday night or stay in? It really does depend on A/weather, B/ What the event is C/ people who are going, D/ location. I am not really a party person. I don’t really like big crowds. But, if it is a photography outing with people I know I am usually in unless it is really horrible weather or a location I feel is too taxing or dangerous. Otherwise, you can generally find me on the couch, with the dogs (or cats) and the TV on.
How are you, truthfully? That is a good question. In general a bit tired (it’s been a busy year), but today I feel good, I feel energised and my back and hips are actually feeling pretty damn good. I started seeing another physio and a dietitian last week and I am feeling pretty good and mobile. I am not about to run a marathon, but a gentle walk that is not too far is not excruciating like it was a few weeks ago. So THAT is a win. Let’s see how it all goes.
What’s the best topping/ice cream combination? If you don’t eat ice cream, what’s your favourite combination dessert? I can only eat lactose-free ice-cream, which usually only comes in vanilla (would die for chocolate ice-cream some days), so with chocolate topping. Or lemon sorbet with strawberries and passionfruit. Or apple pie and ice-cream (or cream). Need I go on, I like dessert lol.
Share Your Gratitude with a thought (quote), a picture or a short paragraph. Most of us have lots to be grateful for, more than we might realize. Happy Thanksgiving and have a great week!
I do have a lot to be thankful for, life is good, surrounded by family and friends, I love my business (OK so day job sux, but it gives me time to blog lol), I had a totally wonderful, relaxing and energising weekend; gardens; sunsets, cooking classes, time spent with family and friends. Life IS good.

To all my friends who celebrate Thanksgiving, I wish you all a wonderful week.

Thanks Julz for Sharing Your World! I’m glad all is well with you too! The minor(ish) aches and pains come to us all. And being tired is just how it is sometimes. You’re doing a lot to energize yourself and good for you! Thanks for the beautiful photography too. It looks warm and inviting down under!
