Every week Melanie from Sparks of a combustible mind poses a series of questions, some fun some a little more deep and meaningful. Some weeks they are painfully difficult and really make you think.

What is truth? Truth is in the eye of the beholder, much like beauty I guess. Two different sides of war will each see and believe in a different truth. Sometimes we tell ourselves different versions of the truth over the years. Memories fade and details get foggy, what we believe to be true can alter the further away from any incident or action. What may start out as truth gets added to and embellished over the years of storytelling? What was a simple truth a 100 or even a 1,000 years ago is now a fantastical story so from for the original it does not recognises itself. Truth is what we tell ourselves and believe…sadly the truth is not ALWAYS the truth.

What’s one thing people would never know about you just by looking at you? I don’t know about not knowing about me as such, but people are often shocked that I do not like scary movies, especially gory horror movies much. I don’t mind something that is a little bit scary, but not blood and guts. Even the darker images I create may have scary themes, dead people, vampires and such, but rarely blood and guts.

Do loud noises bother you? Yes! Especially loud sudden noise; gunfire, cars backfiring, firecrackers, fireworks (although I do like watching them), things suddenly dropping to the floor, darks barking etc. I do not like anything that makes me jump.

If you were guaranteed the correct answer to just one question, what would you ask? I do not know, this is a tough one. Is there actually a god? WHEN will I finally win Lotto?

What fills YOUR heart with joy? So many things. Sunshine and fresh air, warm weather, a camera in my hand exploring, shooting something creative. Working with other creative people. My kids and fur babies, my Hubby. My friends.

My youngest daughter and her husband just moved into their first house, they built a brand new house, it is gorgeous and we are both excited for them and very proud of them. Today is their 8th wedding anniversary and they have both come such a long way. Sad they are so far away, but I know I will see them again in a few months.
