Last week was spent last-minute editing and writing Christmas articles for Photofocus.com. I wanted everything just about done so I can relax. I think the mission completed.
Friday night was a girls night out as we headed to Yarra Glen for the Christmas night market. We spent a relaxing couple of hours just wandering the various stalls and sampling the various wares. Came home with our usual fudge, yo-yo cookies, fairyfloss and this time some yummy ciders. Ate market food, curly fries and a roast beef roll with gravy…yummo. On the way home, we stopped to look at some Christmas lights. No photos…just a great night out with friends.
Saturday we took Mum over to visit Dad in Hospital again and then a cuppa and a catch up back home after. I am not sure if Dad will be out for Christmas, we will have to wait and see.
Saturday afternoon I cleaned up in the studio and then set up for the final two shoots for the year, something a little special and Christmassy…wanted to do Christmas portraits with the dogs, Chloe getting a bit old and grumpy and while she wore the Santa hat, would not sit on the chair, with or without Dexter. Dexter, on the other hand, was in his element but would not wear the Santa hat lol.
The scene was kept super simple and uncluttered for I had the lovely Jess, who has modelled for me all year bring her son Connor in for a quick Christmas photo or two. He is on the spectrum, so we needed something that was not overwhelming. He did brilliant, got some great photos and we got some special video of Jess and Connot reading Christmas stories, which I will put up on my Facebook page closer to Christmas.
I did manage to do some cooking, creating and shooting in amongst all of that too…
Have you finished all your Christmas shopping? Not me lol…I hope you have an amazing week,
