The Lonely Man – The Voyeur. Another image with my model Tony, all images are my photos, the key, apple, ladder and Tony captured in studio separately, the city is Auckland, New Zealand, the wall and tree from Hamilton gardens in NZ, even the crates are from NZ…why NZ? I have no idea, perhaps as it is a place I long to revisit, twice is not enough. This was a tricky piece, but so much fun putting it all together, getting the lighting right, the placement of everything, but I am really happy with the end result. It differs from my usual subject and look and feel to the piece, perhaps a little more playful and hopeful?

Why is it country folk and city folk often envy what the other has? City folk long for the quiet the openness and the clean air. While often the country folk long for the hustle and bustle and the excitement of the city. The lights, the action, the people. We often want what we don’t have, only to find once we get it, it’s not what we really wanted after all.
