Another weird week, full of ups and downs. Even if we could leave the house the weather has been so awful, we are better off inside, April is normally so nice, a little chilly at night, but so good for sleeping. Not much else to report, so let’s get straight into SYW shall we?
Questions:
If we learn from our mistakes, why are we always so afraid to make them?Β I guess it all boils down to not wanting to look like a fool and people thinking less of us. Of course, it’s all subjective because most people really don’t care about our mistakes so much, they are too busy worrying about their own lives.
How do we know that pleasure is good and pain is bad?Β Learned behaviour? Pleasure feels nice, it sets off endorphins and the pleasure stimulus in our brain. It makes us relaxed or excited, depending on the pleasure. Pain, well pain just hurts, either physical or emotional. Physical is easy to understand, stub your toe and the pain receptors in your brain sound like alarm bells, emotional pain, hurts just as much, maybe even more, but it is not a tangible thing.
What problem or situation did TV / movies make you think would be common, but when you grew up you found out it wasnβt?Β Boys asking girls out on dates. My era and locality just wasn’t really like that…or maybe it was just me? I don’t think I ever once had a boy called to ask me out on a date as such, you know flowers and chocolates and stuff. We just hung out. We usually just met every weekend at our local hang-out the ice-skating rink.
If you drive, do you speed when no one is watching?Β Β Have you ever run a red light late at night on purpose, particularly if it doesnβt seem to change very quickly?Β Β If you donβt drive, what minor law may you have broken?Β Well, I do sometimes speed, but only a little and only if it’s safe, like out on the open road in the middle of nowhere, a little impatient to get somewhere. But I have never run a red-light, way too dangerous. I once ship-lifted on a dare- when I was a kid…but that’s about it. Pretty boring really.
Gratitude:
What positive things are you finding to do to occupy your time right now?Β I am mostly too busy to be bored. I am a little envious of all those people complaining they are stuck at home. I am still getting up and going to work (I have no idea WHY we are still open), my photography business maybe on partial hiatus, no workshops, but it is still really busy, book sales, online classes, plus I am writing heaps of articles for Photofocus. I am put the final touches on two new online classes and a new eBook. I have just rebuilt a website for a client and have updated mine as well. When I am not doing all that I still have a house to run and stuff to do, occasionally I get to sit and watch TV, but not every night.
I also got to do some cooking over the weekend, but it’s all gone now, maybe this weekend I can do some more…

Here’s hoping your’s is a good week, stay safe…

May I have some of that delicious looking cake? Heh. Thanks Julz for Sharing Your Lovely World! I don’t think your ‘life of crime’ is boring at all, it shows you have a definite sense of right and wrong and use your head! Doing petty crime (or any for that matter) is vastly over-rated and might be one of those things glamorized in TV and films. It’s NOT glamorous at all (not that I’d know…I’m a angel π ) Have a great week Julz and stay warm! π

Well I don’t know about exciting at the moment, but yes busy. I dont like being idle for long and I can always create art if I am feeling bored π

I am learning to turn my attention towards the art more these days. That is kind of nice actually.
