Mondays Musings

It’s amazing the difference a week makes. I am still in stage four lock down here in Melbourne, this means I basically can’t leave my house, apart from exercise, to buy food or for health reasons. I am remotely working from home, finally. I have been asking for that for three months! So far…I love it!

I can now sleep in a little bit, sit with my coffee in PJ’s and check my email. Put on a load of washing, vacuum and cook, all while monitoring my work. No traffic, no sitting at work bored out of my brains.

I have been pottering in the gardens and studio, I managed to grab a few new ‘toys’ this week. One is the new Samsung S20 the day before we went into lockdown (while shops were still open). My S9 was still usable, but just would hold the battery charge, very frustrating. So I spent a few days setting that up.

My other find was Woodrow, my American Folk Art Duck Decoy. I found him on eBay and managed to negotiate a fair price, he arrived the other day. Isn’t he the sweetest?

I have been wanting one for ever so long, but they are usually quite expensive. He is a little careworn, but that just adds to his charm. I will share some more images of him soon.

I have spent so much of my life online, especially on Zoom, including two birthday parties. It was also my eldest daughter’s birthday, but she didn’t want a fuss. I had several meetings, and classes during the last week and more camera club presentations, I am really enjoying all of it. I must admit it is much more relaxing working from home.

Well I hope you all have a productive week, stay safe…
