Another week another SYW Post, this week we have imaginings from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows thanks to Roger…

• Have you ever driven the wrong way on a one-way street? How did this come about? Well not driven exactly, I almost turned into a one way street one time, when I was completely distracted.
• As a kid, did you ever decide to run away? Did you have a plan? Take a pet? Sandwiches? Probably, I don’t remember ever attempting it, but I bet I thought about it. I moved out when I was 17, haven’t been back since. I know some kids are boomerang kids (in and out and back in again), then there are the ones who never leave home too, not me, I was gone and have been responsible for myself ever since.
• You suddenly found you have a hidden talent for playing a musical instrument. What musical instrument do you hope that accompanies your talent? Any particular song? I would love to be able to play the piano, or guitar, maybe “Stairway to heaven” by Led Zeppelin?
• Do you accessorize with jewellery? There was an opal necklace (cursed) and Slytherin’s locket (also cursed) in the Potter story. Have you had any heirloom jewellery passed down through the generations? Is it more ‘keepsake’ or do you wear it on occasion? (Hopefully, yours was not cursed?) The only thing I have really is my Grandmother’s engagement ring, so badly damaged and old I no longer wear it for fear of losing it. I have thought about melting it down and reinforcing it and making a new one, but then it wouldn’t be her ring now would it? We also have a gold bangle each of us girls wore at our wedding, some are now divorced, some are still married. So not really cursed so much.
