Another week, another round of SYW questions. It’s been a turbulent week over in the US, we watch on in dismay at the goings on, but I’m not going to comment more than that. It has a trickle on effect, so I hope things settle down soon.
QUESTIONS:
What should you get rid off, that would make your new year better, and why? (Don’t say Covid-19, we all want to get rid of the dang virus). Weeds? My garden is being overrun with weeds. We pluck and spray and they keep coming back! Do they serve any purpose? The other thing is spiders (Now I know they DO serve a purpose, but surely not IN my house), we have had a real run on them lately and they really creep me out!
What’s the most daring thing you’ve ever done? I have skinny dipped at a public beach (at night) many, many years ago. I still occasionally do it in our spa. I used to sunbake topless, back in the day when sunbaking was acceptable and so was my body lol.
Does your family have a “motto” – spoken or unspoken? No, not really. Is that sad?
On a scale of 1-10 how funny would you say you are? (this does not mean ‘smell’ or looks; because this is a judgment free blog!) Sadly I am not really a funny person. I wish I was. I occasionally might say something funny or witty, but not often. I will occasionally do something silly that makes people laugh, but that’s as far as my comedy career will go. I am far too serious, but I do NOT take everything as serious. Life is to be enjoyed. I just suck at telling jokes lol.
GRATITUDE:
Tell everyone something that you found personally lifted your spirits! On Saturday, Hubby and I left the gardens and the housekeeping for a day out. We drove down the peninsula and drove along the coast. not going anywhere in particular, just got out of the house for some fresh air and sunshine. We also hit the antique stores and picked up a vintage Kodak Camera.
Now the camera was a fun find for our collection, but just getting out of the hours and going for a drive, seeing the coast, enjoying some sun, having lunch out…that lifted my spirits and made my heart sing. It’s all about the little things, right? After experiencing lockdown for a couple of months (while no real hardship as such) it’s nice to have the freedom once again to just go for a drive.
Where ever you are and whatever you are doing I hope you are safe and doing well…

Thank you Julz for Sharing Your World! That photo is gorgeous, one can almost smell the wonderful sea air! Going topless is pretty daring, but it can be fun too, and no tan lines! I love that antique camera, it’s so strange looking compared to those you see today, isn’t it? Have a great week!

I love that camera! I’m not a gardener by nature and we bought our house from this woman who kept impeccable flower beds — I do a terrible job keeping up with the weeding. I vote the weeds out for sure.
