Monday’s Musings

Such a busy couple of weeks since the studio opened back up Jan 4th, but have been loving every minute of it. Had 6 portrait sessions in two weeks, plus had a ‘play date’ with a long time friend who I have not seen for ages.

I also had a get together with family who I have not seen in nearly twelve months, great catch up, full of laughter and memories of Dad too, many of them could not attend Dad’s service after he died, due to C19 restrictions. So it was great to see them on the weekend. We also had a mini photo shoot in the studio, as my Aunt decided it was high time she and her family had new updated photos. Lots of grumbling and complaining, but they all had them done. Great casual photos that are them. SO happy I was a part of it too. I know we all hate having our photo done, but it’s not for us, its for our loved ones.

Aunt Jude & Me

As I said a bit earlier I had my friend Lisa join me for the day, we have not seen each other in ages, so we went out for a lovely long lunch and then bought some fresh flowers and spent the afternoon playing in the studio with our cameras. Still lots of chatter and laughter, as you do with friends. It was just so nice and normal after a really weird and abnormal 12 months.

Spent a rather lazy Sunday, catching up on shopping, laundry and such, coffee with a friend and a bit of TV…now it’s back to work, another studio shoot this afternoon…some editing and articles to write this week, then a 5 day weekend (Australia Day) and a another friend coming to spend a few days…yay!

I hope you are all safe and well…
