It’s been a busy week, but a good one. You know those weeks when you feel like you’ve been productive and have achieved things? I also felt it had a good work/life balance. So that’s a good things too. I feel like I am getting back into a post Covid groove, let’s face it things are never going to be just normal again, but Covid normal is OK. Let’s just move things along with the vaccine shall we?
So another week of SYW questions from Melanie…let’s jump in;
QUESTIONS:
Why do we dream? I think it is how we sort and store information. Often events of the day are featured in dreams, mixed up with other bits and pieces, so we are kind of like reviewing them and sorting them into their forever filing spot for retrieval later on. But hey! I could be totally wrong here.
Do you think a personβs name influences the person they become? No, not really…for an average name. But I think there are people who suffer for their name and were probably taunted as children. That would effect who they become. There are some horrible names being used these days, with such strange spelling too. But as a parent it is a totally difficult job to name a child. You have to give them a name, long before you get to know them. Same with Pets too I guess. Maybe that’s where nicknames come in…when you know someone better you tend to give them a nickname.
Does hardship make a person stronger? (example: What doesnβt kill you, makes you stronger) I think hardships can show someone’s true strength, but it can also break people. I don’t know that it necessarily makes them stronger.
Why do we judge ourselves by our intentions, but judge others by their actions? Well, I guess as we cannot know WHAT their real intentions are we can’t always judge them on that. But why ourselves? I guess I give my self credit for thinking about exercise…even if I don’t actually do it lol
GRATITUDE:
Lots of little things I guess. We had a great family catch up on the weekend, I also had lunch and coffee with friends, and I’ve had some amazing studio sessions with great clients. The weather has not been too hot. Our Air conditioning died last week, but it is getting replaced today before more hot weather arrives. My big win, after months of waiting, my new studio lights finally arrived….yay!

So I hope you all have an amazing week, and stay safe…

I always thought my name was fairly simple—only 4 letters. Yet, at work, I was receiving faxes and emails to Louise and Louis…. I would laugh and say, “That’s me!” I figured an easy way to tell people my name was: “Lois Lane, like in Superman.” The first blank stare let me know that was not gonna work. I gave up….and then retired! π€£

Thank you Julz for Sharing Your World! Very thoughtful and insightful answers to the questions, which I admit were a little on the ‘tough’ side this week. Apparently, it was Nitschze who first said “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.” He was an odd man (in my opinion anyway) and only students of philosophy seem to understand what he meant by that.. I’m no student of philosophy, but I’ve heard the saying my entire life. Have fun with your new lights and I’ll look forward to seeing some great photography in the future! Have a wonderful week!
