Sadly this was our last morning on the Island, time to pack up and head home, but not before coffee and breakfast. We said fair well to Phillip Island, again under beautiful Autumn skies, just magic. We had one more stop which was Churchill Island Heritage Farm, we had never quite made it here before. We usually have in the past left the Island under storm clouds or rain and have always left it for our ‘next’ visit. Well, this might be our last visit for awhile, so we decided it was now or never.
Churchill Island Heritage Farm
Probably more for school kids, there was a shearing display, a cow milking display and such (which we didn’t stay for. We did see the blacksmith display, but was fairly uninteresting and a little lacklustre, sadly. I know he was probably a volunteer, but not very entertaining to watch. We then spent a pleasant few hours in the bright sun wandering the farm. Must have been very pretty to live here in it’s hey day!
The highlights for me was the cottage gardens and the Highland Cattle, so cute…
So this brings me to the end of THIS adventure, but don’t worry there are several more coming up real soon. In the mean time there will be plenty of other things to share with you.
