Things are all just a bit of whirlwind at the moment. We finally come out of our lockdown tonight, which means I can travel (within the state) and visit friends, go out, and even teach a few small private classes. Woohoo.

I have also been putting the finishing touches on a brand new online class, Simple Still Life in natural Light which goes live next week, but enough about that.

Onto this week’s SYW questions;

What did you learn the hard way? To say NO! Sounds kind of dumb, right? I don’t know about you but I had spent the majority of my life not standing up to myself with various people. Now I don’t feel so guilty standing up to certain bullies and I have also learnt that people’s short comings are their issue and I should not make them mine!

Which activities make you lose track of time? Blogging, digital art, reading, chatting with a really good friend…I guess something I enjoy doing, it’s easy to lose track of time.

Why do we seem to think of others the most after they’re gone? Do we? I am not sure about that. Sure at first the pain is real and the absence is noticed, depending on how close you were. But I still think of people I love and care about all the time, whether they are here or not. I still miss ones I have lost, but I do not think I think of them anymore or any less than when they were here.

Is it possible to know the truth without challenging it first? OK, I feel a little dumb, not quite sure what this is in reference to? The truth about what? I know the truth about a lot of things and never challenged them. Or is it just in general…then I guess the answer is yes of course. Maybe I missed the point of this one?

YAY! I am out of lockdown! Lockdown 4.0 bit a little hard, I had to cancel, postpone and re-schedule so much work, BUT it did give me the opportunity to finish off my long awaited new class. I can go back to booking in portraits and workshops and doing what I love. THAT is a good thing! I also have my Covid shot without too many dramas, just felt a bit ‘blah’ for a few days.

Sorry I have been a bit hit and miss with posting, things have just kind of been all over the place. Hopefully things will now be a little more settled and connected.

I hope you all have a marvellous week…
