We’ve already past the Winter’s Solstice, the first half of the year has already gone. We still don’t really seem to be on top of this pandemic. We think we are and then BAM! it’s back, with a new variant. There now seems to be almost a winter and summer version. Making plans is a little like playing Russian Roulette. Still, we press on.
So to this week’s questions from Melanie for SYW
QUESTIONS:
What do you think of the idea of the ‘greater good’ principle? In theory it’s OK, but WHO decides what’s for the greater good? So many politicians and leaders who are more interested in bettering their own agendas and filling their pockets. I live in a democratic society, but sometimes it just doesn’t feel like it. No sooner that we elect someone in, their off on their own agenda and not what was promised ‘for the greater good’. It’s all damn frustrating. Some seem to be getting it right, New Zealand and Canada are just two examples. Granted in the scheme of things they are smaller countries, but still…the good ideas seem to be there.
Do you enjoy riding a roller coaster or other amusement park type ride? Not a big one for roller coasters. I don’t like anything with height and speed attached to it. Perhaps the Carousel is more my speed. Plus all those pretty ponies.
Which musical instrument is the most annoying to you personally? I guess bagpipes, cliché right? In the right setting yes they can be terrific, but in general yes I guess they can be irritating. I guess in the incorrect setting just about anything can I guess…pan flutes?
Would you rather have a vivid imagination or a photographic memory if you had to choose just one? Oh that’s easy, a vivid imagination, and I already have that, lol. A photographic memory would be such a pain, as nothing would be new and exciting. I have pretty good visual recall, but not a photographic memory. Sadly that is fading these days, but still….I prefer imagination anyway.
GRATITUDE:
I am grateful, that I have the time to work on things in my own time and space. This week I have dedicated to learning Reels on Instagram and delving into the world of Tik Tok. My business has evolved online, so I am TAKING online. The web is an exciting and scary world all at the same time. Thanks Mr Google and YouTube, where would we be without you?
I also had two amazing shoots this week and got to spend time with a friend who lives in the country, it’s been a pretty good week.
I hope you have an awesome week…

Thanks for Sharing Your World Julz! Lovely photography! You have quite an ‘eye’ for composition! I was just reading some information about the Delta Covid virus strain and admit I felt quite discouraged. You’re right, there are variants for all situations, sadly. I’m glad you got to visit with your friend though! I don’t think I’ve ever actually heard a pan flute (unless it was in an orchestra)..I’d think they’d sound quite reedy, and sour notes might be very irritating indeed. Some other blogger remarked that “any instrument where someone is just learning to play it”, which made me laugh. That’s true too and so is your remark that the incorrect setting tells! Have a great week!
