After spending so much time in lockdown, I am finally spending the odd day here and there, getting out and spending time with friends. Usually photography relate, can’t help it I AM a photographer, right. I recently got sent a couple of lenses to try out, I am taking them on an upcoming trip, but I did want to try them before I go away.
So a friend offered to come with me, I haven’t seen her in awhile, so we spent the whole day together, which was rather nice. After a brief catch up and coffee, we headed down the Mornington Peninsula to the Rosebud Foreshore, Dromana, Rye, Sorrento. I haven’t really been down that way in ages. As kids we used to come here every Summer and camp right on the beach, it was amazing. So much fun. Anyway we meandered along from beach to beach. Stopped for a yummy lunch, then wandered some more.

There are some piers, some boathouses, and lots of people about, especially with their dogs. It was a glorious Winter’s day…yes Winter remember? Almost looks like Summer right?

What are the colored houses on the beach? If they are storage sheds, they are beautiful!

It’s been a rough week and a half. Our 18-year-old grandson has been diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumor. It’s treatable, but not curable, and has already affected his appendix, gallbladder, colon, and the surrounding lymph nodes. These kinds of cancers never really go away. He’ll need to be treated for the rest of his life. We’re devastated.

I’m just now able to talk about it without breaking down. Thank you for the hugs. I need them!

Take lots. I’ve just hugged my daughter for the first time in 2 years….feeling very hungry and emotional myself…but in a good way. Sending those good vibes your way

We’re going by the “one day at a time” mantra.
