Share your world 4th August 2021

August 4th…my eldest daughter turns 30 today…how did that happen, where has that 30 years gone? Oh dear that means I am….oops I can’t THAT old can I? lol Sadly such a milestone can’t really be celebrated. She is going out to lunch with a friend and then we are taking her to dinner tonight. But no party no get togethers. So many people have had milestones and can’t celebrate them with family and friends, so sad.

So here are this week’s questions for SYW

QUESTIONS:

  1. If you could be anywhere else right now, where would it be? Oh back in Cairns. Back in cold, wet, windy Melbourne and longing for the sun and warmth. Not to mention the fun we had.
  2. What Wastes The Most Time In Your Day To Day Life? Probably social media. I get on the check emails and messages and then sit there scrolling through my feed with my coffee for an hour or two at least. And I STILL can’t see everything.
  3. How would you describe your greatest enemy?  If you don’t have one, share your secret!  Time and Age I guess would be my mortal enemies, that and my own body falling apart. I guess I had enemies as a kid, but not REAL enemies. I don’t know I guess I am more a live and let live kind of person these days. Getting angry just upsets me, so I try not to.
  4. If you were a bird, what kind of bird would you be? I adore the grace and elegance of birds of prey, an Owl (Boobook owls are so gorgeous or a barn owl), not sure I’d appreciate hunting my food lol

GRATITUDE:

I actually left the house again yesterday, first time in a week or so. I took my camera to the local botanic gardens. It’s Winter here, so not a lot in flower, many of the trees are bare. But there were a few flowers in bloom, which means Spring is finally on it’s way. The jonquils are in flowers, so only another month or so until we can see some improvement in the weather. Of course, September is often cold and wet too, so I guess it will be October before I see any real improvement. Still…I can take heart in knowing we are near the end of Winter.

Winter blooms

Have a lovely week…
