Heckle and Jeckle are back for Spring

Every Spring I have a few lorikeets which seem to come back. We have a red bottle brush plant out the front (across the road) and one out the back in a neighbours. I can often sit in the driveway or on the back deck and watch and photograph them. They are so cheeky and so noisy, I can usually hear when they have arrived. We have planted a bottle brush in our own yard, but it is yet to flower.

I assume they are a breeding pair and have a nest somewhere, they come to eat the nectar and buys from the bottle brush and to play. This is just one, the other was hiding today.

These was captured with my trusty Sony a7Riii and my Tamron 70-300mm lens. Such a fab lens for nature shots.
