Things are finally starting to open up and look up. They have eased our restrictions again! Last Friday we were allowed to visit family and friends (if we’re all double vaxxed), so I saw two different friends on Friday, with one we played in the studio and had a fabulous morning. Then I had another for wine and nibbles and such a fabulous night full of laughs. I then saw my Mum, caught up with another friend for some studio fun on Sunday. Monday I spent catching up on housework and such. Tuesday (as in this morning I am about to head to my favourite gardens and take my camera gear. Sadly my favourite antique store nearby still isn’t open, but hopefully only another week or so. On Thursday I finally have a hairdresser appointment and on Friday retail opens up…so I can open the studio and have a booking on Sunday! Yay!!!
Sadly I don’t think we will get a Halloween shoot in, or if we do, not the ones we were planning. They wills till happen, just not yet. Anywhooooo let’s get on with SYW for this week.
QUESTIONS:
Name something you wouldn’t want to run into in a dark forest or in an abandoned building? The general suspects a bear, cougar, or ferocious dog. Anything big and bitey! Although spiders would also be at the top of my list.
Do you believe in multiple dimensions or worlds? There is believe and then belief right? I kind of like the idea of them existing, Sliding Doors and all that. But, do I really think they do? Not so sure. It’s cool to think of me in another dimension in no pain and not crippled!!! But I guess it could be worse! Will we ever see proof? Doubt it, it is just a theory I guess.
Would you ever go to a graveyard at night? Yes, have done so
What is the most frightening book you’ve ever read? Stephen King…yes I know he is an author, but pretty much anything he writes scares the willies out of me lol. Pet Semetary or Salem’s Lot, I started but never finished either and same with the movies. Yikes, could not sleep! Hence WHY I really don’t like watching scary movies.
If you could have a spooky Halloween pet (black cat, owl, bat, rat, wolf), which would you pick out of the five choices? Black cat…I have a black and white cat, Zorro, but a totally black cat would be cool. Our neighbours had one when I was a kid. Cool cat green eyes. Or an owl, like Hedwig from Harry Potter, that could be cool.
GRATITUDE:
I am grateful for everything that is finally happening now, the whole state is opening up as of Friday, still can’t travel far, still can’t go interstate, but can see friends and go for drives. Time to go chase the morning…have a fabulous week.

Thank you Julz for Sharing Your World! What great news! Congratulations on coming through another episode and quarantine of that virus mess! Zorro is GORGEOUS, but yes a black kitty with big green eyes would be very special indeed! My neighbor has one she rescued as a kitten, and Poppy is full of beans and very loved. She’s an indoor cat too, so I don’t worry about her on Hallowe’en! Stephen King’s works are not for those who don’t like blatant horror. But happily he’s begun writing another genre, now that he’s a billionaire and can kind of do what he likes. The three books he’s written in this new genre are great, suspenseful but without the overt blood and gore of his horror fiction. He’s also written one fairy tale (for his children apparently, when they were small. The family was NOT allowed to read his books, because Tabitha (their mom) considered them too gruesome for children (which is true). “The Dragon’s Eyes” is the fairy tale. It’s also, in a weird way, the prequel to King’s opus magnum, “The Dark Tower.”
The three books I mentioned are in the pulp fiction/hard crime genre, and they are GREAT. One is a ghost story in a sense, with a mystery wrapped up in a legend. One is a ‘coming of age’ book, and the third (just out recently) is about the early 70s and is another coming of age book in a way. There are some grim parts I admit and lots of suspense.
