Does anyone else feel like they’re on a roller coaster or carousel? Things are just getting back to some sort of normal and BAM!!!!!!!!!! Omnicron hits. Seriously? Well, I guess I can safely say the studio is closed for classes as of last Saturday, my last client shoot is this Saturday, I have a ‘play’ date set on Sunday to look at ideas for next year and then that’s IT for 2021. I don’t want to shut this early, after such a long break, but I guess I have no real choice. Hopefully, we can squeeze in a mini trip, just local. But I will be planning some day trips.
Anyway, it’s time for this week’s SYW questions…
Questions:
If you had the power to strike one person in your life permanently speechless, who would it be? I would love to answer honestly, but retribution, so I will say the cat. He drives me nuts complaining ALL the time, I really do wish he was mute!
If you could relive your childhood over again, what’s one thing from this modern world today you’d want to take back with you? Digital cameras. Smartphones are terrific but I think the internet as teenagers must be a minefield. So glad my girls were adults before it really took off. But I took up photography ins school and loved it, but never continued with film. I wish I had.
Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple are the standard colours of the rainbow. Name something you love (or greatly admire/appreciate) for all six major colours of the rainbow! (Sorry indigo, you’re just blue-purple. Hot pink? You’re too flashy!) My whole world is based on light and colour. The colours of the rainbow make up our light spectrum, so I am grateful for all of them! Sorry, I know yet another photography related answer. But let’s face it, rainbows are pretty and very cool!
If you were to open the world’s most accurate fortune cookie, what would your fortune inside it read? Get set for shit to get weird.
Santa’s tired of people leaving him out cookies and milk on Christmas Eve night! If you really wanted to get on Santa’s good side, what would you leave out for him to eat/drink instead? (This question applies to whether you celebrate Christmas or not. It’s just for fun, so imagination? Welcome! ). It’s kind of funny, in our house we never left Santa milk, it was always a beer or even a glass of scotch. I never questioned it. I thought milk was weird. We’d leave an apple or carrot for Rudolph, we’d get left with an apple core. I guess the carrot got put back in the fridge for dinner lol. So I guess I would leave Santa a little tipple, maybe beer or scotch. As a nod to dear old Dad, or as thanks for a job well done for Santa.
Gratitude:
Holiday plans? Mmmm well we did hope to visit my daughter in QLD before Christmas, I guess it will now be after, with borders still not being open. We had hoped for a mini trip away before Christmas too, will wait and see on that one.
Christmas will be a very quiet affair, just four of us. Possibly just a cold lunch, if it’s a hot day. We normally catch up with friends for a big hoorah to end the year and celebrate Christmas, but my friend will only be out of the hospital for a few days, she probably won’t feel much like celebrating that soon. So a real quiet one.

Zorro looks a bit like my Polly. She doesn’t complain a lot though, just bites me on the leg if I don’t serve her dinner when she wants it.

Ouch, Polly sounds as mean as my Teddy, he punches me in the face to wake me up….mean pussy-cats

Thank you Julz for Sharing Your World! I hadn’t previously heard of Omnicron, and all I can say is ‘Dang it!” Will the thing never stop mutating?? Argh. I’m sorry for your enforced quarantine once again, but on the plus side, your country has a lot less cases pop up because your government does that. Over here? It’s full speed ahead and damn the consequences. Nobody is observing even the masks any more (except employees and wait staff). I wear mine and try to stay positive. Zorro might be a vocal kitty, but he’s GORGEOUS! Ziggy is a very vocal dog, and I wonder why some animals feel the need to do that so much, guess they want to be heard? Santa is now well and truly pickled. He’s had a lot of alcohol and an Australian type beer so far. I’m glad someone else is driving his sleigh for him! 😉 Your rainbow list was great, I’m always messing about with color when I blog, and in general, black and white is too boring for me. That spectrum has been a subject of fascination for years! I do believe your fortune has come to pass, if things get weirder, the planet might implode.. Have a wonderful week and I hope you get at least your mini-trip in!

That’s great that your family used to leave booze out for Santa! My parents rarely drank, or else I could see them doing something like that to our amusement as well. I love hearing about offbeat traditions like that…
