Share your world – 26th Jan 2022

Is it really the end of January already? As Melanie said in her SYW post, it’s going to be another blink and you’ll miss it year! The good news for me is I have just come back from seeing my daughter, a mini-vacation and on Saturday I get to open the studio for workshops and shoots again! YAY!!! (Who gets excited about going back to work? – Me! lol)

What’s the worst day of the week for you? Why? It always used to be Monday, now I don’t have a ‘Bad Day’. Don’t get me wrong I still have does that suck, but in general no one day is worse than others. I am my own boss so I can choose when and where to work.

“Would you ever consider posing naked or semi-naked for the camera or a live audience (acting in a play)?” Mmmm me personally? Nope (Wish I had in my youth lol). I do photograph fine art nudes, but never as the model……..eew yuk who wants to see my wrinkled saggy old body lol

With the recent energy crisis here in the UK, would you prefer electric, gas, oil or some other means of heating your home?” I have gas for most things (Cooking, heating, hot water) but I must admit we have looked at swapping them all over for electric, as we have solar. We need to look at getting a battery to store our power though. I do like cooking with gas, but I think an induction cooktop could be good.

In your household, who takes care of the bills, taxes, and other financial stuff? Is one person responsible or is it a shared chore? More often than not it is me who pays the bills, Hubby does his taxes, I send mine to an accountant.

It’s a bit of a silly one: If you can have any one job (real or fiction) in the galaxy (yes, the galaxy, I’m widening the search radius, imagining relocation to other planets possible), what is that job? I would love to be a BIG international Photographer educator and presenter, not just a small one…in terms well known not physical size lol. Love to present at WPPI or similar, TedX or something. Who knows, maybe one day. I know…boring right? Either that or an alien tiger trainer?

Who are you grateful for? EASY!!! I just got to spend a wonderful 5 days with my daughter in Queensland. We got to travel and see a bit more of the area, I got to see her new house (She moved in over 2 years ago!). Thanks to Covid it’s been really tough, I did meet her in Cairns last year for a week too, that was the first time I had seen her in over 2 years! So Seeing her, her new boyfriend, the house and her new puppy was wonderful. So I have LOTS to be grateful for. The photos below are me and Hubby with our Grand (fur) kids Kira and Toby. Toby is 13 weeks old! He’s gonna be a BIG BOY! lol Hubby could barely hold him, but so sweet. They are both Leonbergers, huge dogs but very adorable.

I also had to stop the car for a cattle muster across the road…ahh the things we find lol

Well, that’s it, I have loads to catch up on and more images to edit, I hope you have a fabulous week, stay safe…
