It’s been an emotional roller coaster of a week, yet again. Is this what’s in store for me in 2022? Yikes! I hope not. Having a week full of ‘Mother’ dramas. I know I don’t go into things in a lot of details on that front – it’s complicated.
This week’s SYW questions…
Questions:
Which traditional Valentineโs Day gift would you rather receive: chocolates, flowers, or a card with a personal message? Not a big one for Valentine’s day, myself. Not really a hopeless romantic. However, if anybody is to give me anything it would be flowers (I can photograph) or chocolate (I can eat – obviously). My Hubby had the day off from work (to see a specialist) so we went out for lunch, which was nice.
Do you like romantic movies? I like rom-coms, and some lovey-dovey movies. It really depends. I liked Ghost and Titanic and they are love movies. Under a Tuscan Sun and so many others. So I guess the answer is yes…but there are some I really didn’t enjoy. Love Actually comes to mind, I watched it, it was OK, but not brilliant.
Is Valentineโs Day only about romantic love? Or is it a good occasion to celebrate friendship as well? I think Valentine’s day is too commercial. I love who I love every day, family, friends etc.
How do you deal with unwanted romantic attention? Apart from unwanted business attention (Spam and such) I have not really had unwanted romantic attention as such. Well, at least not for a very long time. lol

GRATITUDE:
Share one or two of your favourite memories of your special loved one if youโd like. So many memories to share, old and new. I think that is one of the lovely things as we get older, the many memories we collect along the way. Just at the moment, I am so grateful for my support team in this current trying time, my Hubby and Daughters, my Aunt, several very good friends who know our history. I am also thankful to the Hospital staff, who actually listened to me for once. Having other people realise it’s not me that’s sick (finally), is such a relief.
Lots happening, shoots, classes, workshops, presentations and podcasts! Yes, I recorded my first podcast the other day. So that was interesting. I was just a guest speaker, but it makes me wonder if it’s something I should do?
Anyway, I hope everyone has a great week…

I don’t know so much about giving or receiving gifts, but I wrote three essays based on Valentine’s Day!

Thanks Julz for Sharing Your World! It sounds like your Valentine’s Day (aside from whatever problem arose) was just as you’d like. I’d LOVE Dexter as a Valentine ๐๐งก๐๐๐๐โค he’s such a photogenic fella, who looks absolutely SWEET. Aw. Gorgeous photo! I agree about the over commercialization of the day. It can make the solo person feel left out a bit if they let it. I had cupcakes (a no-no for me, but so good) and my day was great! I hope whatever worries have come your way are soon resolved and gone. Take care and have a wonderful week!

Sadly Mother has completely lost the plot and after, yet another suicide attempt, they have had her committed, so quite stressful as you can imagine
