Share your world – 22nd March 2022

What a strange topsy turvy world we live in, isn’t it? I have had a week of highs and some lows too, breaking away from a life time’s cycle of ‘stuff’ is not easy to do. Even when you think you are free, you keep getting caught up in it. I have been practising mindfulness to try and break free. I have also been meditating, doing tai-chi and hydrotherapy…not sure if the last one is doing much. I’m fine in the water, but seem worse when I get out? And swimming is making my shoulder worse, so I just stick to walking. But it’s pleasant and relaxing so I am sticking with it for now.

so onto this week’s SYW questions…

What very common thing have you never done? Bungy jumped or skydived. Or been in a hot air balloon…everyone I know seems to have done at least one if not all three, so I’d say that’s fairly common. And I have no plans on trying any of them!

Are we morally obligated to be charitable, if we have the means to? Charity starts at home, doesn’t it? I don’t mean to be cynical, but often these charities are working for the admin fees and not the charity. Not all, but a lot. I’d rather buy a homeless person a cup of coffee and a sandwich than give to one of the gazillion charities out there. But are we morally obligated to? No, I don’t think so.

What is the most amazing fact you know? It’s almost impossible to get a narcissistic personality to admit they are wrong and to change their ways…trust me I’ve tried for years!!!!!!!!

What’s your favourite sandwich and why? Considering I have it often enough a BLAT (Bacon, lettuce, avocado and tomato, especially on a Turkish bread roll. Or a toast ham and cheese sandwich. Oh but if the bread is really fresh vegemite or peanut butter…..mmmm yummy.

Please feel free to share something you find inspires you.

I got out and about in the garden this week with my camera and macro lens and found this cute little guy sunning himself on the fence.

I hope you have a lovely week…
