I’ve just come back from a short trip away, then a nice long quiet weekend, so I am still hyped on feel-good vibes!! Of course, I am now madly trying to play catch-up on everything 🙂
Still, I figured I grab a quick break and a cuppa and write this week’s SYW…
QUESTIONS:
In your opinion, what do you buy way more of than most people? Oh well, this is easy, probably props and costumes. Some might have thought camera gear, but I honestly don’t buy THAT much gear, my stuff is a few years old now. But still life props and costumes for the studio…well that is ANOTHER matter entirely. Even on our trip, I purchased some vintage glass bottles – I haven’t even had time to photograph them yet.
Which workers have the worst jobs? Ones they hate. I think that there are some truly horrible jobs out there, but I am sure some people like them. I hate housework but I recently met a gentleman who cleans houses for a living and says he enjoys it as it gives him time to think. Vets would be great in helping animals, but I know they spend more time than they wish helping them to die peacefully – that would break my heart, over and over. I could never work with palliative care patients (same reason, break my heart), I would hate to clean up tagging graffiti, such a senseless job, they just do it again and again.
Opinion. John Cage is a composer who composed a piece named 4’33” for any instrument. The performers are instructed not to play their instrument for four minutes and thirty-three seconds. Is this music or is this art? A combination of the two? Neither, it’s stupid. Your opinion? I think it’s kind of dumb. Really it’s nothing, a cry for attention. Do something ridiculous and then get attention for it. See we are giving it attention even now, lol
How good are you at drawing? I am average, I used to be better, but then I drew and painted all the time, I have not really drawn or painted anything in years. I prefer the camera and PC.
GRATITUDE:
Feel free to share one amazing thing you’ve experienced. Honestly, it’s hard to pick one. We’ve just come back from a lovely week away, but nothing amazing as such. But we were discussing an amazing event and hoping for a repeat. A few years back we were on Kangaroo Island and found this echidna walking across the road. In my adult life I have only even seen a couple in the wild, they’re pretty shy. So to spend some time walking with it, capturing it, was amazing.
We have had a few weeks of lovely weather, but now it has turned cold and wet, I guess Summer/Autumn really is over, now we head into Winter. Whatever you do, have a lovely week, keep warm and dry…

‘Which workers have the worst jobs? Ones they hate.’– Such a brilliant answer. Makes total sense, though.

just because you and I hate something, doesn’t mean the person doing it does, right?

Thanks Julz for Sharing Your World. Lois is right, that answer was brilliant! 😀 I’d never seen an echidna before! Amazing! They look like they have long spines though? A sort of big hedgehog! And they eat ants and insects? You live in a beautiful country! It’s trying to be Spring on this side of the world, but it’s still cold (to me anyway). But it’s a very lovely time for me, my favorite season of any of them! Have a fantastic week! 😀
