It’s been a rather nice week, although the weather has been up and down. One day nice Autumn days, the next cold, wet drizzly Wintery days. Mostly the wet ones. But yesterday was lovely and I took total advantage and arranged to take a model to my favourite gardens to capture some portraits amongst the gorgeous Autumn colour and sunshine. It was a wonderful morning.
On to this week’s SYW questions…
QUESTIONS:
What two totally normal things become really weird if you do them back to back? Funerals and birthday parties?
What is something that you just recently realized that you are embarrassed by, that you didn’t realize embarrassed you?
If Australia (including New Zealand and Tasmania – which I KNOW are different countries); the UK, Ireland, Germany, the USA, and Brazil or Italy were represented by one food, which would it be for each? OK so…Tasmania is part of Australia, right? It’s probably got to be Vegemite or the Meat Pie, NZ? That horrid LP Drink? I don’t think I struck anything particular strange while travelling over there. Maybe the Hangi…it’s like an underground BBQ.
What might happen if Goldilocks and the Three Bears were set in modern times? LOL I have asked this question before…I think she would fight back.

Where was the most most embarrassing or inappropriate place you’ve passed audible gas? So this will sound bad. I was at a funeral service for a friend and people were telling stories. I got the giggles (at a funeral right?), and then snorted and passed wind…I don’t know which was more embarrassing the snort or the fart lol. IT WAS a funny story!
GRATITUDE:
If you celebrate it, how was your Mother’s Day? What did you do? If you don’t (because you’re a single guy or it’s not in your culture) please share something fun you did recently.
Mother’s Day was a super quiet affair here, for various reasons. My eldest daughter worked all day, my youngest called from interstate. Hubby and I sat on the couch all day and watch Picard. It was actually rather nice.
I hope you all have a lovely week…

Thanks Julz for Sharing Your World! What an interesting take on ol’ Goldilocks! I bet she would fight back! I attended an anniversary party for my paternal grandparents when I was about 16. My mother (who did not like either of her in-laws and the feeling was mutual) was there too. We went out to the garden in back of the house because I didn’t want Ma doing or saying something evil to the honorees. There was a buffet type lunch, and we took our plates outside because it was a really nice day. We were eating and chatting, when this very rotund little man came out with his lunch and a drink. The garden design had several faux Grecian ‘posts’…pieces of molded plastic that were fashioned to look like broken bits of the Colosseum (that’s Italian isn’t it?) and so forth scattered amongst the flowers and shrubbery. The little man found a suitable post and sat down vigorously. One second later he was on the ground, food flung one way and the drink the other. The “column’ was a smashed mess. Several people rushed out to his aid. I started to laugh because it looked so hilarious, and had to hurry behind a shrub to hide my face. I had tears I was laughing that hard. My mother had much the same reaction. And the rest of the time at the party I could not look at my mother nor she at me because both of us would bust out laughing again. It is embarrassing to get the giggles in the midst of a somber event like a funeral, but to add some flavor and noise too? Oh my. You’ve topped the charts! 🙂 I’m glad you found the humor in what could have been a really humiliating episode! Thanks for sharing that! I’m going to grin all day now! All your answers were wonderful and it’s a pleasure to read them each time you participate! Great photography too! Have a great week!
