Oooopps, I think I missed a week in there somewhere. Oh well. I had the weirdest week last week. I had such a busy week planned and then all of a sudden everything got cancelled, thanks Covid (The gift that keeps on giving) and I was suddenly at home with next to nothing to do. The silver lining was I didn’t catch it too. This week is relatively quiet as last week (would have been) nuts and I have a super ridiculous, but creative weekend away with some photographer friends.
Let’s get on with this week’s SYW questions;
QUESTIONS:
Do you ever feel more excited about getting the package in the mail, rather than the item that’s in it? Occasionally the actual package tends to be not what’s expected, so that can lead to disappointment. Other times getting a surprise parcel is super exciting.
What is the difference between your ideal self and your real self? (i.e. what attribute or physical feature would allow you to feel the ideal ‘you’?) I wish I was capable of being more physically active. I wish my joints weren’t worn out. I wish there was no arthritis. I wish I had my age and maturity, knowledge etc in my 30-year-old body!
If you found $2,000 on the ground and there were no witnesses, what would you do with it? Honestly??? If no one seemed to be looking for it, I might just pocket it. I often hand stuff in and it more often than not, seems to do me any favours. There is a saying “no good deeds goes unpunished.” I feel like I more often than not do the right thing, for once, I might do the wrong thing. Everyone is so rude these days. Can’t beat ’em, join ’em – right?
Are you ever morally obliged to take action? Under what circumstances? See the previous paragraph. I try to stay out of things, as when I do try to help, it often blows up in my face. Cynical? Maybe, or maybe it’s just a down week? We can’t always be up, right?
GRATITUDE:
Please feel free to share how last week went for you. Bright or not-so-bright spots? Up and down, bored, just chillin’ watching TV, reading books and relaxing. It kind of sux to be so quiet in the studio, but I am sure it will pick up again. My one ‘bright’ spot was a shoot on Saturday for one of my Hair and Makeup artists, Em. We went to town in her entire dark, Goth and green astethic and had so much fun. Will share some more images soon.
Isn’t she just gorgeous? It’s really nice to be able to give back to my team with some gorgeous photos of themselves. They are so often behind the camera, assisting, running around fixing clothes, hair and makeup, it’s nice for them to be all glammed up and be their gorgeous selfves.
Anyway, I hope you all have a safe and happy week…
~ Julz, XO
Thanks Julz for Sharing Your World. Covid strikes again. It’s on the rise over here too, but the same flatheads that didn’t take precautions are doing that again. Many folks are experiencing that deflated mood thing (although not for the same reason as you), to me? It’s this unrelenting heat. We got a couple good storms though, too short by far but it was at least something. I always feel more on edge when it’s hot. Your photo model and pictures are gorgeous! I’m glad you didn’t contract Covid as well. Have a great week!

I hope it cools down soon for you. We have been so cold here, so I’m betting our summer is going to be bad too
