Cee’s challenge this week is Buildings, check out her page, she had me at the Lighthouse 🙂 Personally I’m not one for architecture, but I do adore an old building or even better a crumbling and decayed building…..so much history and the stories those old bricks and boards could tell.
I know some people are creeped out by walking through these old ruins, but not me, I find them fascinating and I know I am not alone.
At the tail end of Cee’s Letter B&W Challenge now with W or X, struggling to find X, and in the end just stuck with a few W, -water, windows, walkway and wallabies (which is more of a monotone than a B&W).
Which I guess leaves next week with Y and Z…….that could prove interesting 🙂
Til next time, have a great weekend, safe travels and happy snapping…
Playing a bit free and easy with this week’s top of the Letter V or U for Cee’s B&W Photo Challenge; various vintage (cars, paddle steamers and train sheds). Street vendors, under bridges, how about undecided? Pushing huh?

Finally starting to catch up and get back in the swing of things, after a super busy month. This week’s B&W Challenge by Cee is something that starts with the Letters S or T. I used to shoot everything in B&W and lately I find I have moved away from it again, I don’t know why. I guess it goes in phases, I prefer my still life in colour, especially the flowers and my digital art is sometimes de-saturated but rarely B&W, which just leaves the travel stuff. Most of my travel stuff needed to be colour, so………I’m rambling aren’t I?
So my images for this week……….street performer, tap, skull, table and tunnel

I do love B&W and must make an effort to do more in the future. But for now I will be content with these images, only the street performer is new, took that one last weekend in Melbourne.
Til next time, safe travels and happy snapping…
I have not posted in the challenge for awhile……but back with this week’s fun letters, for Cee’s B&W Photography Challenge. I didn’t seem to have anything with letter ‘O’ from our recent trip, but how about a Paddle Steamer (PS GEM) and some large Paintings of People?
Paddle Steamer – PS Gem, Swan Hill.

So that is it for today, short and sweet. Til next week, safe travels and happy snapping…
This week’s regular random is quite special, well for me anyway. First I rarely do street photography, as most of you know, but this day it seemed fitting. Second, and most importantly I shot it with Desley. We had met up for lunch in Fitzroy and had just enjoyed a lovely lunch and wander through the Rose Street Artists Market, we started to wander the streets looking for graffiti and thought it might be fun to both shoot our regular random on the same subject; at the same time.
Desley used the Art setting on her camera and got some very cool effects…….don’t forget to check out her pics from her post. I felt that due to the area, the hipster vibe, the street art and the cliche doughnut shop, I really wanted to process as least some of them in over contrast B&W. I normally feel so self conscious shoot street photography, but with both of us together, it felt safe and comfortable.
It’s actually a cool spot for five minutes of random…….and as Desley just reminded me, NO doughnuts were consumed by us during the shoot! OMG what is wrong with us? lol
Well at least someone enjoyed them with a coffee. For more info on Regular Random, visit Desley’s Page; just shoot one object for five minutes and move only yourself and not the object.
I honestly don’t really have anything much to share today, art wise, I am still working on the photos from our trip; let alone any art! But I thought I would share this from Instagram.
This is a new character we have just started working with, he doesn’t even have a name yet! DesleyJane suggested Baron Von Wolfenstein (lol), but I just call him WolfMan…….I am sure something will come eventually.
So a funny story, while we were shooting this at Garfield Water Wheel in North West Victorian Gold Mining area, hubby was attempting to climb up these rocks (quite difficult in these gloves and mask) when a family with small children happened on us……..I was expecting screams when they saw the wolf. They did stop in their tracks and looked very confused, the Mother burst our laughing and explained to the children it was OK, that the wolf was really just a costume. Moth proceeded to remove the wolf head and THAT is when the kid started screaming! Ha Ha Ha, so funny the look on that kids face……….has he NEVER seen someone take off a mask before? 🙂
Anyway this is just a grainy B&W image from the smart phone, I will eventually create some art from the photos taken and will share on here soon.
This week’s challenge theme with I or J is a bit more difficult, in fact I really could not find a photo for I – it’s probably something so simple I missed it and have a face palm moment when I see everyone else’s post. But for this week I bring you an old jetty and an old jalopy.
Sometimes it’s easier just to keep things simple! I hope you all have a brilliant weekend. I’m off on a new adventure, chat soon.
This week’s B&W Challenge is all about things starting with the letter G or H; so off I trot, to find a suitable gallery – Hippos, ghosts, geese, happy, historic and heritage listed grand old Houses.
Historic Werribee Park Mansion
Here’s hoping you all have a brilliant weekend, safe travels and happy snapping…
This week’s challenge is E or F…….kind of feels like old school Sesame Street lol.
So I have gathered up some faces, feet, fences, elephants, flowers, fruit, Exhibitions Buildings and an Expected Mum……..OK so may the last too are a bit of a push, but they still start with E
