A Rainbow of colors

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Roy G. Biv.”

Write about anything you’d like, but make sure that all seven colors of the rainbow — red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet — make an appearance in the post, either through word or image.

I am not a very poetic person, sometimes I wish I was, but instead of a Poem or even an anagram I will just think of things and images I associate with these colors.

Red of an old style Tram, fresh ripe tomatoes, a pencil, strawberries, a postbox

Orange of a fiery sunset, an orange, basketball, fresh juice, Gerberas, autumn leaves

Yellow of the sunrise on a flower, sunshine, a child’s laughter, buttercups & daffodils

Green of the trees, grass, Christmas Trees, leaves, broccoli and green beans

Blue of a summer sky, fairy floss (cotton candy), icees (frozen ice treats), balloons

Indigo of oncoming night, eggplant, storm clouds, lightning

Violet of Love, umbrellas, dying embers of a fire, fireworks
