I can’t believe it’s Week 4 in June already, as there are 5 weeks in June do we get 5 edits for Robyn’s One Four (or Five) Challenge?
Oh dear I have done it again, created two images and I am not sure which one I prefer?
They are both so Old School, it’s scary! I took the image from last week and just created a cartoon/ drawing look using the artistic filters, ‘Cutout’ from Photoshop 3.
Nothing fancy, nothing flash, I didn’t even alter any of the settings. I just pressed OK…….I love it, just the right amount of color vs Black and white, just enough detail.
The next one was the same image I again applied filters to, this time added a ‘Texturizer’ Filter under Texture in Artistic Filters. This second edit gives a lovely velvety feel to the image, creates a softness, where there is none; softening all the hard lines and edges, shadows and light.
Until next time, happy snapping…….
– Julz
I seemed to have missed these through the whole month but I love them all.

Oh, goodness, these are both rather good! I like the more painterly touch.

I like the canvass one best Julz – nice effect with the texture and good colour on the shells.

Wow these are great and yes I agree about missing one – I don’t know if I saw the red one.
I’ve really enjoyed this image and your explorations this month.
You have a good eye, seeing this in the first place.
I really like both of the editions for this week – the filter gallery is good to play around in – it gives some amazing results. My favourite? Hard to choose. I’m going with the 2nd of this week.
Ha ha.. you get next Monday off. Enjoy 😉

Of this week’s images I like the cut out effect as it hides nearly all of the distracting elements with the simplicity of shapes. Overall week 2 is my favourite image.

I really like the cutouts edit – it looks like an image from a graphic novel. Great edits all month. 🙂

Interesting how the plant looks like smooth stones in all your edits. 🙂 I like the color variation on the ‘stones’ for week 3 & 4. I think I like this week’s texture image best. 😀

Interesting, stones….or shells. I guess if they don’t really look like plants then the abstract theme worked 😉
