Regular Random – Giant Magnolia

Regular Random, what can one say………….it IS Random and supposedly regular, I feared I actually might miss this week, but I was persistent and finally got the images off the camera; you see I had shot it, but not edited it.

I recently obtained this giant magnolia blossom from Desflora flowers, and I was playing in some really weak later Winter afternoon sunshine, in fact it was near freezing and 5 Minutes to shoot this was almost too much 🙂

But I love it and you will see it again very soon, in another shoot, oh and the backdrop is a vinyl Mini Backdrop, Wide Wood… So back to Regular Random

Let’s get the rules out of the way:

• choose an object or scene
• try not to interfere with it once it’s set up
• shoot for five minutes – here’s where you get creative: choose different angles, play with the light on your scene, shoot through something, try to find a frame to put around your image, lots of different ideas but remember – try to stick to five minutes!

As pretty as it is, I don’t think I got very creative with the photos this week, just moved in and out and side to side, I tried some flat lay, but the flower would not co-operate; forgive me, it’s been a busy week. If you want to see some truly magic cupcake images….head over to Desley’s page.
