Regular Random – Water Lizard

Time for something a little different from me…I was walking along a path at Mount Coot-Tha Botanical Gardens in Brisbane, right beside one of the lakes, when this little head popped up over the edge, being careful not to startle him I slowly moved in closer and closer.

Coming face to face with nature, even a small (possible 50cm in length)water lizard is humbling and spectacular, although I think he was studying me as well, as he was not afraid. After possibly 5 minutes, I took my leave and left this lizard to its own devices.

Would you like to join in the RegularRandom crew? Here’s how:

  • choose a subject or a scene
  • spend five minutes photographing it – no more!
  • try to not interfere with the subject, instead see it from many angles, look through something at it, change the light that’s hitting it
  • have fun!
  • tag your post #regularrandom and ping back to this post

Looking forward to seeing your shots.
